Have your sales plummeted? Work on the content.
You might have found yourself in an unprecedented situation, because of social distancing your customers cannot visit you and your sales have plummeted. Now might be an excellent time to build your online presence.  Asking how? Work on the content of your website.

 

Although your site’s content consists of photos, illustrations, videos and texts, it is the last item on this list which the most important. You can’t just copy it from … let’s say anywhere. To be able to write an engaging and relevant copy, fist, you need to deeply understand the subject. Since we are talking about your business, this should not be an obstacle. Under no circumstance use CTRL+C (od CMD+C on Mac). Even paraphrasing somebody else’s work is enough.

If you are considering the new content for your website and have spare time; here are the key things to consider

 

If the social isolation brought you the big hole in sales, think first about what might be the most relevant information for the customers. Write down the list of your services. Make several paragraphs (not bullets) about the benefits they offer. The more niche, the better. Stay apart from the competition. Think was were the questions your customers asked the most. Make a list. Then do the same as with the previous. Add something about your company, your people and do not forget your philosophy and expertise. People also think more profoundly about somebody who’s got something behind them—the history. You probably have some of these already, but go through them again; revise, add, improve. Is your team information still up to date? Are their positions explained enough? Have you bought some new machine or expanded on your portfolio of services? Are your prices up to date (I’m not kidding)? These will be the questions we would ask.
